Spring is a great opportunity to shake of the dust and get a new perspective on your goals. You do spring cleaning. Why not “spring clean” your goals?
First, look at your mission and motto. What do you do, what makes you unique, and how do you help? Remind yourself what it is you love about your service, product, and/or mission.
Next, look at your goal list: the one that has your top of mind personal and professional goals on it.
Take an inventory of your progress: What have you accomplished – be sure to celebrate all wins – and what has fallen by the wayside? Are your goals stillin alignment with your mission? Is there anything you need to eliminate and replace?
Choose one thing to focus on to get back on track. Make a list of action items, set deadlines, and make appointments with yourself to work toward those benchmarks and goals.
Yes, it’s that simple. And, yes, you can do it!
What goal will you reprioritize this Spring?
#52SecretsBook April Events
Thanks to everyone who has joined me for my recent events – at Barnes & Noble Huntington Beach, AWP, and my March online mixer with guests Heather Eck and Keith Spiro.

The secret to success is there is no one secret. For 52 Secrets for Goal-Setting and Goal-Getting (Mango Publishing, January 28, 2025), I interviewed leaders in business, tech, entrepreneurship, food, entertainment, and other creative areas to get their best tips -, and examples/anecdotes to go with them. The result: a menu of options you can take out for a spin to see what works for you! If you have read #52SecretsBook and have found it helpful, please consider writing a review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Goodreads. Thanks so much!
